Mercy is a concept you understand intellectually. Somebody drove thirty-five minutes for this match and you sent them home in fifty-one. You have never once eased off in a 5-0 game and you are genuinely confused when told to be nicer about it. You say good games at the net and you mean it, which is somehow the worst part for everyone involved. This rack is for the player who treats every scoreline as information rather than etiquette. It is not a criticism. Somebody on the team has to actually close matches out, and it has never once been the person complaining about it afterwards.
