Before tennis was a sport on television it was two white paddles and a square. The first video game most people ever played was, technically, tennis, and this small series goes back to it: a pixel court in four colours, two paddle bars, a blocky scoreline, a dashed centre line, and PRESS START set in blinking-cursor type underneath. It lands with two different crowds at once — people who play, and people who remember a wood-panelled console — which is a rarer overlap than it sounds.
