You are a 3.5 on a good day and indispensable on every day. You arrive ninety minutes early with folding chairs. You know every opposing captain by first name and you have strong, researched opinions about which courts have shade. Nobody remembers the score of week four. Everybody remembers that you brought limes. This is the rack for the person who keeps a team together without ever being the reason it wins a match, which is a much rarer skill than a topspin backhand and considerably harder to replace.
