What you can actually wear to a USTA league match

The USTA does not set adult league dress code. The facility does, and that is the answer to the question almost everyone is really asking. Public parks accept any recognisable tennis attire. Private clubs are where it tightens: some require a collared shirt, a few restrict large graphics, and a handful still have opinions about colour. Non-marking court shoes are the one rule that holds everywhere. Chest-print tees and tanks are accepted at essentially every public facility and at most clubs; if you play at one of the strict ones, that is worth knowing before you order. League night is not a tournament

Match play in July and a 9pm indoor tie in January are different problems and this collection covers both. Tees and tanks for heat. Long sleeves and hoodies for the early-season 7am courts nobody volunteers for. Sweatshirts for the hour after, when the result is being relitigated in a parking lot. Most tennis brands say “moisture-wicking” about everything they sell. Here is the real split: 4 of the 36 pieces on this page are 100% polyester performance fabric that genuinely wicks. The other 32 are combed ring-spun cotton or a cotton-blend fleece, and they do not. Cotton is more comfortable off court and heavier once it is soaked; polyester is the one to play three sets in.
